Complete LoadRunner

3 or 4 days

Intended audience: New users of LoadRunner

This course covers all aspects of using LoadRunner 9.5, from planning your load test scenarios, through to developing your VuGen scripts, executing your scenarios and finally analyzing your results. The course covers real-world best practices for effective use of the software. Throughout the course practical examples are demonstrated, and the delegates get to practice what they have learned in each chapter with hands-on exercises. An optional 1 day lab-based practical is also offered, which gives you the opportunity to plan & execute a performance test project from start to finish.

QuickTest Professional Introduction

2 days

Intended audience: New users of QTP

This core course provides a comprehensive understanding of using QuickTest Professional as an automated functional testing tool for different environments. You will use QuickTest Professional’s graphical point and click interface to record and play back tests, add synchronization points and verification steps, as well as create multiple action tests. You will build upon fundamental topics by using debug tools to troubleshoot tests and use additional checkpoints and product options to broaden the scope of business processes that can be automated. Once tests are created, you will discover and correct common record and play back problems.  All topics are supported by hands-on exercises that are based on real-life examples.

Advanced QuickTest Professional

2 days

Intended audience: Existing users of QTP and Developers

Take your functional test automation skills to the next level by learning to use the Expert View in QuickTest Professional. Through discussions and hands-on exercises, you will learn to create steps that work with dynamic objects and data, use VBScript conditional and looping statements to control the flow of your tests and components, and use DataTable methods and database connection objects to retrieve external data.

Using QTP with Quality Center

1 day

Intended audience: Existing users of QTP and Quality Center

This course looks at the integration between QuickTest Professional and Quality Center. How to store your complete QTP automation project within Quality Center, how to run tests from Quality Center, as well as how to use the Quality Center API to get the two products to ‘talk’ to each other.
Throughout the course practical examples are demonstrated, and the delegates get to practice what they have learned in each chapter against the applications

Intended audience: New & Existing users of QTP or other Automation Tools

Covering the basic and advanced principles of QTP. This compact course covers elements from both the Using and Advanced QTP courses, and is designed to give you the opportunity to progress quickly through the basics and on to the more advanced automation techniques within QTP

Using Quality Center

2 day

Intended audience: New users of Quality Center

The process-based functionality of Quality Center is learnt in this hands-on course. Students will learn how to manage Quality Center information throughout the development cycle, manage releases and test cycles, construct and organise requirements, create and execute test sets, monitor defects, and use graphs and reports to track the success of a project. All you need to know to manage your testing project within Quality Center

Quality Center Administration & Customisation

1 day

Intended audience: Administrators of Quality Center and Project/Test Managers

This course covers the tasks that are performed by site administrators, project managers, and Quality Assurance (QA) leads to set up Quality Center (QC) projects before users can work with requirements, test cases, and defects. This hands-on course focuses on planning, creating, and customising Quality Center projects. It is an important course for people involved in creating projects, modifying existing fields, creating user-defined fields, creating users, setting user permissions, and defining basic workflow. Essential for anyone who will be managing the Quality Center implementation

ISEB Intermediate Certification

4 days incl exam

Intended audience: All testers certified to ISEB Foundation Level

This course leads to the Information Systems Examination Board (ISEB) Intermediate Certificate in Software Testing. This is the next step for those who have attained the Foundation level of certification
