Microfocus Octane

Octane is the exciting new ALM tool from Microfocus which provides full Agile project management; Backlog, Releases, Epics, Features, User Stories, Interactive Storyboards, Test management (Manual tests, Gherkin Tests, Automated Tests) and Defect Management. It also integrates into CI servers, Version Control (Git/GitHub etc.) and can even support Waterfall with Requirements planning!

Course Overview

This course on Octane provides insights to developers and testers, helping them deliver applications quickly, without sacrificing quality or end-user experience. Students learn how to leverage this streamlined solution to bring continuous quality to lean, Agile, and DevOps-focused teams. Students also learn how to manage quality information throughout the development cycle, from constructing user stories, designing and executing tests, through monitoring defects.

Delivery

This course can be delivered online, which is live, instructor-led training (VILT), or it can be delivered on-site at your premises (Classroom).

There are two versions of the course depending on whether you hav a professional or enterprise licence.

Enterprise Version – Online, the course is over 4 days, with each day being an online session of approx. 3.5 hours. Classroom, the course is 3 full days.

Pro Version – Online, the course is over 3 days, with each day being an online session of approx. 3.5 hours. Classroom, the course is 2 full days.

We can provide an Octane instance for delegates to use if required.
