How are the Online courses delivered?2023-07-17T17:17:00+00:00

All of our online courses are Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) training. This means that you are part of a ‘virtual classroom’, and just as in classroom training, there is an instructor, you can see and hear and talk to the instructor, but you have the flexibility to attend from anywhere in the world. We use Microsoft Teams as the training platform, it provides desktop sharing, VoIP, messaging and other features. You can connect from any device with a web browser. For audio best experience is using a USB headset.

What is the format for the courses?

The courses are all divided into sessions of no more than 4 hours (usually 3.5), in each session you will cover a number of topics. The sessions are usually scheduled for the morning, so you will be finished at lunch time and can fit them around your working day. You will be sent a workbook before the course and this also contains some optional ‘homework’ exercises for you to try between sessions.

Do I need to be a programmer for the courses?2023-07-17T17:15:54+00:00

No. All of our courses are designed from a testers perspective. However, some of the courses are more technical than others. For example, the Selenium WebDriver. As WebDriver does not provide a nice easy point & click, record & replay interface – it is just coding, some basic knowledge of the chosen langauge binding is helpful. If you haven’t got any programming experience, then following some of the free web tutorials first will help you with the course, and for a better primer, we offer programming for testers courses in Java, JavaScript, and C#.

For Ranorex, the Advanced course does introduce programming in .NET. We usually use C# for the demos, but the workbooks also have any code examples in VB as well. If you have not done any programming before, then you may want to try out a free C# tutorial before attending the Advanced course such as https://www.microsoft.com/net/learn/in-browser-tutorial/1

Do you offer on-site training at my offices?2023-07-17T17:17:48+00:00

Yes! We deliver on-site courses all the time. All we require is a suitable room and a whiteboard/flipchart and projector/large screen. This is usually a more cost-effective option if you have 4 or more delegates looking for the same course.

Please phone Tom Millichamp on 0333 939 8884 for more assistance and pricing.

What do I need to access the Online Training?2023-07-17T17:18:37+00:00

We currently use Microsoft Teams for our ‘Virtual Classrooms’ online. You can access them using a Web Browser on Mac, or PC.

Do I need to bring anything with me for classroom courses?2023-07-17T17:19:59+00:00

Yes, you will need to have your own laptop or desktop in your training room. You will need internet access, and we will send you an installation guide so you can install any required software prior to the course start.

How can I pay for the course?2023-07-17T17:21:42+00:00
